Reviewer says...
I moved out several months ago and this has been pressing on me. There are lots of issues with this place and I would caution anyone before moving in.

Bugs in the pipes coming up through the bathroom sink and bathtub.

Hot water cuts off periodically, usually several times a week.

Managers do not check renter references so there is a constant stream of tenants coming through, some good but mostly not.

Suites are old but that is okay. Any repairs that are done are haphazard and temporary.

The building is poorly taken care of with as little capital reinvested as possible as evidenced by the damaged walls and elevator in half-repaired condition. Repairs require multiple phone calls to the owners and sometimes never happen.

Don't let Tom fool you into thinking he is just the manager, he owns this and several other buildings. While the price was fair for the neighbourhood, it is definitely not cheap enough to justify the conditions.
It is definitely worthwhile to spend the extra $50-100 and move next door to one of the other buildings on the blocks.
