Reviewer says...
Lived here for about 2 years.

Landlord is unreasonable, not accommodating, and often communicates by shouting. While living here we received multiple threats for loss of damage deposit and termination for matters that could have been resolved with normal communication.

Most maintenance requests were dealt with promptly, however some were ignored completely. We had two large isolated leaks from the ceiling. One of which was coming down from the shower in the upstairs apartment. Maintenance cut a large hole in the ceiling, and for 3+ weeks we kept a bucket below the hole to catch the upstairs people's dirty shower water from splashing on our bathroom floor.

About 3 out of 7 days a week the shower water temperature fluctuates from ice cold to scorching hot.

Theft is a problem. I had my ($2500) mountain bike stolen off my roof racks outside our unit, my partners car has been broken into, and there are often "stolen item" signs posted up around the building. Multiple packages (about 3) marked "delivered" by Canada Post also went missing, and we never received them (likely taken from the front door or mail area).

The unit we lived in was dark (lacked many windows), but reasonably quite. We parked on the street with city parking permit, it was never an issue to find a spot. Convenient neighborhood, with all services needed within in walking distance.

All in all - great neighborhood, but suggest looking elsewhere for a rental unit.
