Management is horrible to deal with. Quiet time is suppose to be at 10pm which is not respected. Cleanliness is Definetly not what it should be. Getting something fixed takes forever. Towing is suppose to be enforced when people park in your spot. This happens frequently and complaining falls on deaf ears. The only positive comment I have about this place is the location.

I have been living in this apartment complex and found it very convenient and would recommend it to anybody. To find a month-by-month rental that is pet friendly is very difficult but these apartments offer both.

Any maintenance issues I had were fixed in a reasonable 48 hour period. I have found the management friendly, very helpful and responsive. They are very respectful of their tenants rights too.

I have not had a single problem with my parking bay being used by anyone else. The appliances are all new and clean.

Nothing is completely perfect and the fact that it is a wood-framed building means that you can hear the tenant above. This was only a problem for me when the "weekend" child came visiting and run around to release energy. I could also hear the tenant entering and leaving the bedroom when I was in bed. The happy sound of children playing when you sit on the balcony in the evening adds to the pleasure of living here.

There are dogs of all shapes and sizes and winter cleanup is pretty lax but as soon as the snow had melted the dog mess was cleared up.

This is the absolute worst place to live.
When I moved in to a 650 square foot apartment for 900, fine. Now that rent has just increased to 1100, you have got to be kidding me. This is the second rent increase over the course of 3 months which is illegal...
The on site rental office is never open and you can never talk to the manager.
We go through managers here every 2 or 3 months. AND all the staff parks in our very few visitor parking stalls.
We pay 50$ a month for a parking stall. Most days I come home I wonder if someone's going to be parked in my stall. And the best part is... No one cares if someone is in my stall. The manager is the only one that can call a tow truck, during working hours, but they have to physically see the illegally parked vehicle. And visitors need to get a "parking pass" to park overnight.... They claim they have a tow truck driving around in the middle of the night to check visitor stalls... However I've never seen one. Theoretically I could get away with parking in visitor parking during daytime hours and park in any tenants stall overnight and I would never get towed.
Now back to the building. I moved in in 2012 and decided as someone who is writing their Ph.D. Thesis, paying over what they could afford for an ADULTS only building would be particularly beneficial. It was awesome for the first year or 2 until we got a d****** manager who decided to fill the building with babies toddlers and kids. Upon speaking with him he said he wasn't aware 1167 was adults only. I found that funny and called head office and to this date, 2016, 1167 is still documented as adults only. 3:38 pm rolls around you better have ear plugs in because that's when all the kids get off the elevator and run down the hall.
More apartment living... I'm on the third floor. Most of my neighbours are pretty decent... The unit beside me smokes so much pot it smells up and down the hallway. We keep getting notices about the smell of pot, but they do nothing. I actually recall about 2 years ago the manager calling me personally and asking me to stop... I specifically told her what unit number it was, yah well, they still leave here, and have just as many marital problems now, as they did when the moved in. Which gets me to the next point, the walls are paper, f******, thin. It's really awesome when I can guess how hydrated the man in the upstairs unit is based on his urine stream. More on him... How can a person not be aware they are stomping while they walk? Jesus, you'd think my be holding my speakers to the ceiling or throwing a tennis ball at the ceiling every time he walked he would get the picture, no. And broadstreet does s*** all. Then we have the people below me. They were immigrants, China I think with a dog. They never ever walked the dog and instead forced the dog to shit and piss on their balcony in the winter and the summer. It was really awesome to see them shovel or mop off the dogs waste. I've complained to broadstreet... They did NOTHING.
Their response to handling maintenance is essentially negligible. I had an issue with my AC, the maintenance guy said he'd order me a new one. We got a new maintenance guy, he knew nothing about it. After about 4 months he finally orders one, then schedules a date to replace it. Well I called head office to change it to a day later so I could be home... They don't call back, schedule it for 3 weeks away. Now it's too cold out so I have to call back next summer. Oh and this ones awesome ... The cupboards in the kitchen are so cheap that my dishes and food and whatnot are too "heavy" the cupboards started to sag. This place has such little storage in it, and the maintenance guy went so far as to tell me, you can't put stuff in your cupboards, and you're dishes are too heavy.
I could go on and on and on about negatives for this place, I don't even have a damn positive.
This place is awful.
