When I moved out from living with my sister I moved into this apartment because the prices were cheap enough for me to pay by myself. I did viewings of the apartment and at that point everything seemed fine. It was a nice unit for the price. I moved in June 2017 and left August 2017. My entire apartment was infested with cockroaches and bed bugs. my body was completely covered in welts and bite marks. At first I didn't think it was bed bugs because my boyfriend wasn't getting bit. In one night I found 24 bed bugs. It was disgusting. They infested and destroyed my furniture. Not to mention the cockroaches. They are everywhere. People leave garbage in the middle of the hall and cockroaches come crawling out. You throw your garbage down the shoot and cockroaches fall from the ceiling. Whenever I confronted the manager of the office about it they did spray the apartment but they also said that I was the only one affected, which was not true. My friend lived a couple floors down from me and we found minimum 40 cockroaches in the span of 30 minutes. They were crawling all over and inside her sectionl couch. This apartment is disgusting. I had a hole in my wall and one of the maintenance guys who came to fix it even said, I'm surprised no cockroaches came out of the walls. He even said he lived there and would never move back. Even the washers in the basement got backed up with nasty dirty water and it sat there for weeks before it was fixed. The apartment advertisties air conditioning but it's only cold water through pipes with a fan. The apartment got so hot my boyfriend and I couldn't even stay inside, we had to leave. Every time they sprayed I had to find a place for my cat to stay which was a hastle considering I was being sprayed every week almost. Also when you get sprayed you have to pack up everything as if your leaving. In the kitchen we had to take everything out of the cupboards and put them in boxes. We had to take off the light switches. We had to do this every week. Might as well just never unpack because your always packing up your stuff to get sprayed. Oh and another thing, cockroaches like the glue that they have on cardboard boxes so if you have some in your apartment you will have lots of visitors. There was not one time I lived in that apartment that I felt safe and at ease. I was always killing bugs and having them crawl all over me when I would sleep. No one should live like that. It's absolutely appalling. I only lived there for 3 months but I couldn't wait to leave. I ended my lease early - as did my friend - and I would never in a million years go back to that apartment.

This building is absolutely infested with cockroaches (seemed like both German and American cockroaches were present but I'm not entirely sure). I signed a lease to move in earlier this year, stayed in the apartment for one night, and then left. I was lucky enough to get out of the lease and have other places I could stay at on such short notice, but I'm still out first and last month's rent, so if you are not as lucky as me that this wouldn't be that much of an inconvenience, STAY FAR AWAY.

The building itself is disgusting: the hallways smell weird and are dirty (walls are cracked and the molding is discolored and falling apart) and badly maintained (the lights are very dim and the fire alarm on the 5th floor is literally hanging out of the ceiling and obviously not functioning), they certainly didn't clean my apartment after the previous tenant moved out (also the "fresh paint" that they put up literally trapped some cockroaches on the wall), and the basement is cramped, unclean, and also has a similar weird smell to the hallways.

As for the bugs: I didn't see any signs of bed bugs in my apartment (5th floor, one of the ones on the end), but apparently it's a widespread issue in the building itself so they may just not be in that specific area. But there are absolutely cockroaches present. When I viewed the apartment, the lady told me that it was "normal" to see a few bugs since it was an apartment and some people aren't clean - I should've ran at that, HUGE red flag. If a building is well-maintained and does not have an infestation, you will not see any cockroaches. Ants are one thing, cockroaches are quite another - they don't appear in the handfuls and they are not easily managed unless they are the FIRST ones in the building. This building has obviously had this problem for many years.

As I mentioned, I only stayed here for one night - moved in on the first, stayed that night with the naive hope that the bugs were not a problem and that they would be gone when the building was sprayed the following Thursday - did I mention that apparently they spray the building once a year? While that sounds responsible and like they're simply trying to keep the problem under control, they do it out of necessity to keep it from getting too bad, not to stop the problem or keep it from recurring. They do the bare minimum to legally say they are dealing with it without actually fixing anything. When I was moving in, the door to the apartment should have been my first clue to just pack the truck back up and leave - it was gross and discolored and FULL of cockroaches - they were crawling all over the door and front hallway and outside of my door. They didn't seem to come out of the living room or bedrooms, but they were definitely in the pipes, kitchen, and door, which means when I entered the apartment: cockroaches. Went into the kitchen: cockroaches. Went into the bathroom: COCKROACHES. The amount of roaches I saw in the bathtub was appalling. There was no way I would ever take a bath or shower or even step in that. Even after they sprayed, when I was moving my things out of the apartment into storage (and heavily treating it myself just to be sure) while there were plenty of dead bugs around the apartment, I still say live ones crawling around that did not seem affected at all.

I don't think the management is ignorant and they're not overly rude (except for the one lady who handled my paperwork when I was leaving, though she is not the building manager and only works in the office). I'm not sure if they're incompetent or just cheap or lazy, but they certainly don't take proper care of the building. Honestly, it's probably beyond repair at this point, unless they closed the entire building down to completely re-do it, which is not going to happen. And although they say smoking isn't allowed, I have definitely smelled smoke (of more than one kind) in my very brief stay at the apartment. The neighbors I had weren't overly loud but the walls are very thing and when they are I could hear it.

In summary: lots of cockroaches, possible bedbugs, weird smells, questionable cleaning/maintenance/security, STAY AWAY.

This apartment is infested with cockroaches. Even if you are the cleanest person in the world (a neat freak myself) you will not be spared. When we moved in there was dots of roach killer every where in the cupboards and it appears to have done nothing. We have had to kill dozens of roaches everyday since moving in. Disgusting. Anytime you cook, bathe, or sit down to eat a cockroach slithers up the wall to haunt you. My anxiety, nor my boyfriends allergies (to the cockroaches) cannot handle living here.
No sight of bed bugs, but have covered our expensive mattress with a special cover just in case. This has been the worst rental experience of my life - and its not cheap! Roaches are your roommates. The only way this might be fixed is if everyone in the building comes together at once.
The windows are useless. When it rains they fill up and overflow leaving puddles all over the apartment, make sure to keep all electronics and your belongings as far away as possible from the windows. The excuse - "Oh, its an old building, just keep towels against the windows".
Please avoid at all costs, the location and the seemingly okay price is not worth it. I cry almost everyday because of how freaked out I am by the roaches and would rather relive my experiences of the worst roommates in the world than being stuck in this miserable building for another 8 months until my lease is up.

We have lived here for almost 1 year and it has been the worst experience IN MY LIFE. COCKROACHES ARE EVERYWHERE. Before we moved in when we came to get the keys and checked the apartment out, there were dead cockroach s everywhere like a lot of them, I asked why ,they said it just the cleaning done before new tenants come in and it was not a problem. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF THERE WAS A COCKROACH PROBLEM IN THE BUILDING, SHE SAID NO. and now almost one year later and they are everywhere. We asked for the office to send someone to fix it more than once but how manys times before we get tired of moving all our stuff in and out and not seeing results that we stop asking.THERE WAS NO POINT IN CALLING THE OFFICE ANYMORE,THE COCKROACHES COME BACK!!!

Before signing the lease when we were looking at the apartment, the lady showing us the apartment said not to the mind the online reviews said it " was a district" review or something and it was not that building specifically, I thought it was weird at the time that she mentioned it because I wasnt looking at the reviews( MY BIGGEST MISTAKE) and I just trusted her. On top of that, oh Lord the hallway!!!our hallway always smells so so bad. I always have to run from the elvator to my door.

I don't recommend this apartment for anyone, there is a reason it is so cheap.

Worst building you can possible live in. About the parking, first day i moved in they told me I can park at that spot, then i got a warning from the ticket guy.
Also same day as i was moving in, multiple people who lived in the building told me there are bed bugs all over the building. As i lived here for a year, there so many bed bugs i found under my bed, it was the most disgusting thing i ever seen. They costed me so much money trying to fix my things, throwing away furniture, and using the dryer every day. They did treatment in my apartment twice and still there is lots of bugs. not just bed bugs, all kinds of bugs. roaches, flies, etc.
I tell the office about it, they told me the "professional" said there were NO ACTIVITY HAHAHAHA. then she called me and my family dirty ! the whole building is the throwing away their furniture every day ! every one tells me they have bed bugs.
So i tell her we are leaving early because this problem cant be solved and caused too much trouble, then she says she will call collections to get money from us.
ITS A SCAM COMPANY. YOU WILL LOSE SO MUCH MONEY IF YOU LIVE HERE. DONT ! THEY MADE MY LIFE <removed> HELL. damn disgusting building !
