269 young street room no. 25. Rent is 650$, its not worth the rent. Well it says that its renovated but every corner of the room is leaking with air so it is too cold when it is nearly winter. I have inserted paper on every hole to control the cool air coming in but its not enough. My hydro during winter had reached 300$ every month for 5months from nov to march. Yes, its true its 300$ every months. If u want to view it and u might want to see d leakege of air, its in d back door, in the kitchen bottom of d window, in d washroom side of d toilet bowl at d bottom and in the room side bottom. I am encouraging u guys to just look for a better place.

This is the very first apartment I've stayed in. At first viewing of the place, I knew then it is not a nice place to live but because I couldn't provide any reference and I was working part time job, I had no choice.

The building is very old and the floor is creaky. Some tenants are not nice. In fact, in my one year stay, there were four different caretakers. At times there was no one taking of the place at all.

What I like in this apartment is the affordable rent and the location. But it is not a secure place to stay, if you are not careful enough.

I would only recommend this apartment for some reasons. First, if want to rebuild your tenancy history, this is the place for you. For a rent of a little more than $300 a month, you can save money to buy a house or move to better place. It is very close to University of Winnipeg and walking distance to the park. Grocery stores and conventient stores are nearby. Very closed to Downtown.

I came back to this apartment after six years for temporary stay of 3 months until I found a new place to rent. (BTW, the owner also accepts short termed rent.)
