Our time at this building was an okay experience. We were very optimistic about it at the beginning, but then became frustrated as the months went on. The biggest issue we had was the discovery of cockroaches in one of the neighbouring apartments. It became known to us that legally they had to treat the adjacent suites. Soon after the first treatment, we found a cockroach in our apartment as well. From then on we went through a series of what seemed like never ending treatments with bait traps over the course of 5 months (10 total visits from the exterminator). The biggest issue with this was that we had to prep our apartment every time, meaning we had to basically pack up our apartment and move everything from the walls at least 2 feet. This was very stressful and time-consuming. We were only ever given 24 hours notice (one time less than 24 hours). We are shift workers and found it difficult to accomodate for these times as we also had to be out of the apartment during the day that they came. During those months, we were very in the dark from management about how much longer the treatments were going to last for. We would often come home to a slip of paper under the door and sigh, "Not AGAIN" as we would frantically plan how to get the apartment ready. Not ideal. We were frustrated. Even our friends and co-workers were frustrated on our behalf. Fortunately it all did end. We only ever saw one cockroach in the beginning. We just didn't know that it was over until we ran into one of the managers and asked if the exterminators were done.

As for the building itself, it is definitely not accessible for those who have small children and use strollers, people in walkers/wheelchairs, or even for those who want to commute with their bikes. There are always stairs. Even though there's an elevator in the building you still need to take stairs to get to it (and then stairs to get up or down to your floor). And doors. There seems to be an excess of heavy doors that are difficult to navigate again if you have accessibility issues.

Yes, there is a hot tub and sauna in the building. I'm sure some people would love to relax in it after a long day, however it seems like half the time it is closed for repairs/health inspection. The one time we did use the hot tub, it just looked dirty and not really all that pleasant. If you were looking forward to have a friend come over and chill in the hot tub with you, you'll quickly learn that the area is restricted to tenants ONLY. You will likely receive a little note under your door reminding you if you do so.

We actually really enjoyed our suite itself. It was newly renovated with lots of kitchen space. The higher ceilings in the sunken living room and bedroom made the space appear bigger. We also really enjoyed our balcony. It was huge and we had many good times relaxing on it. However towards the end of our lease we ended up having a lot of wasp issues, causing us to spend less time out there.

The building itself was well-maintained on the outside and inside, however there was always that faint smell of smoke and sometimes marijuana in the hallways. No matter how much air freshener they used, it was still always there.

As for laundry, it is expensive. At least $2.75 for the washing machine and $2.50 for dryer per load. Laundry prices were also due to increase. On the bright side, I never had to wait for the washing machines.

Would we rent at this apartment building again? Nope. With the rent increase this year, this apartment building is not worth your while.

I was kicked out of my rental unit because the landlords family was taking over the house and moving in. My friend lived in a 1br apartment with her husband at the time. She let me live there and sleep on the couch in the living room for one month. The apartment is great overall but management is iffy. We tried talking about my situation but they wouldn’t listen.

Have a single bedroom apartment. There have been a few miscommunications with management but with a good deal of patience everything was worked out. The maintenance on the building is fairly adequate. Expect maybe a day delay on anything that breaks. They have been renovating the building on and off for the last year but it usually isn't a big deal. Improvements were needed and it looks much better. It is very clean and fairly quiet. You can hear people from the halls if anyone is out there talking but never from the neighboring suites. The heating and AC work well. Our heating is sometimes wonky but I never boiled or froze. There is laundry on each floor which equates to one washer and one dryer from every ten suites. A good amount, although the first six months I was here at least one of them was repeatedly in need of repair. Parking is $50 right now if you need it. I have never felt unsafe in this building. Everyone here is friendly and quiet(my neighbor has 2 or 3 kids and I almost never hear a peep). The neighbourhood has everything you could need for essentials and has major bus routes to take you anywhere else. Right by the perimeter highway as well. Our suite has no storage so we have trouble finding room to put things sometimes. No bed bugs, no ants, no cockroaches. Only issues is the water is sometimes yellow for several minutes and and the bathroom sink never gets warm. When I first moved in I had to clean the bathroom drain repeatedly as it was plugged with the most disgusting combination of sludge and mold and hair. On the topic of bathroom, the fan is basically useless so keep the door open when showering and try to keep it short unless you want to make the apartment humid. All in all it's a pretty good place to live but arguably on the higher side for rent price.

Great bedroom sizes, huge master bedroom closet!!! Storage space was in the apartment with shelving.
2nd bedroom was a two-level and same with living room. Very openly spaced, and plenty of room! Balcony was adequate.
The only beef was it was not wheelchair accessible or easy for someone who has a baby stroller because either way to get to an elevator you have to go up 2-3 stairs.
It was also mostly quiet, except we just had really really loud foreign speaking ladies above us that seemed to always be wearing high heels (or that is what it seemed like).
Management was great, and very prompt when there were any issues or problems.
Also, included in rent was your water, heat and electricity.
P.S There is also a hottub on the main level.

If it were not for a couple of noisy neighbours and a wonky air conditioner this would be perfect. Lots of shopping near by.
