I lived here for almost 2 years, in 2013-2014. Shawn & Liz were the property managers at the time. They were great! Friendly and helpful, and working hard to clean up the building and get good tenants in. Our rent was reasonable and we never had any problems. We lived on the top floor, in a corner unit. We had mostly quiet neighbours - elderly ladies on both sides of us - and no issues with pests.

There is some guest parking available.

On the Pinewood Cres. side the building was quiet (I can't speak for the Parkdale side) and offered a great view.

We moved because I wanted to be closer to Carleton University, but otherwise it was a great spot and I would have stayed.

March 11th 2016 reporter back for an update.

After cleaning the blood of a frat boy off my door, out of the hallway, and watching the police and paramedics try to herd his drunken state into an ambulance so they could assess the free flowing bloody wounds of his head and neck, I decided to give in my notice.

The next two weekends, paramedics were back at the building for the same rowdy crowd.

Neighbourhood's going downhill and a building I once thought was safe is now renting to dangerous partying frat boys (who also throw their beer cans off their balcony every Friday night and are on the front lawn). I'm out folks. Even having the good landlords back in the building cannot undo the damage to it's reputation as an organization I will ever associate with or recommend to anyone.

But hey, tell me to contact you in private via an email address rather than actually arm your staff with the ability to ensure the buildings they operate are safe and friendly.

The former supers were awesome, in the six months since they left the building has fallen from my good graces. As an organization I question Timbercreek's training of employees and how they clear them to work with the clients in their buildings (because I need an old man burping his beer breath in my dogs face as a point of contact for any company I pay to provide me a living space). Luckily it seems we are on the verge of a new super who actually is competent and cares about the space.

The building is old. The elevators are in constant repair status. The pipes burst this winter. The boiler was off for over three days without an explanation (and more than enough condescending 'tude from a woman who happened to be in the office when I asked for it to be looked into). You pay your own hydro now, the laundry room is never full though and the units are a good size for what you pay. They did some upgrades to balconies and the parking lot this fall, and seem to fix up the units as people leave (if the debris piled up by the recycling is any indication).

The tenants are no more inconsiderate than anywhere else. Yes. I've seen drug deals in the parking lot, but not the building. Yes, there is at least one unit rented to a sex worker, but here's a shocker: sex workers live in everyone's community. Some dogs bark in the halls when they meet people or other dogs, children scream periodically because they're kids, these are the realities of living among other people. The overall noise level in the building is minimal. September Friday nights are a bit louder because there are a fair number of student/young adults among the population, but it is not some sort of Animal House frat party. I've been here two years, and have seen the police come by twice (both instances were for calls outside the building). I'm probably the scariest looking punk here and I'm much more likely to hold the door for you than eat your face.

A little more effort on keeping everything clean and in working order from Timbercreek and I wouldn't have the urge to shout "Don't rent here, they're bastards!" when I see the sales agent trying to lure in new victim... tenants.

These people care only about nickel and diming you! They let all riff raff in. Have a very bad rep re: drugs and prostitutes! Tenants are rude and inconsiderate of community living! Dogs barking, kids screaming and yelling, tenants knocking on your door for money, or cigarettes.......wth! Elevators don't work half the time, they have garbage shute but won't let tenants use it.
